A Sustainable Future: Politicians’ Perspectives - an Election Forum
On Tuesday 14 October SOC co-hosted an election forum ably chaired by Christchurch businesswoman and Al Gore Climate Change Ambassador Melissa Clark-Reynolds. The politicians representing their parties were:
- ACT - Ivor Watson
- Greens - Dr. Russel Norman MP
- Labour - Lianne Dalziel MP
- Maori - Hector Matthews
- National - Nicky Wagner MP
- New Zealand First - Steve Campbell
- Progressives - Jim Anderton MP
- United Future - Vanessa Roberts
Each party representative was asked to outline how his or her party's policies contribute to a sustainable future for NZ. The representatives were then asked to respond to a number of pre-supplied questions from the organizing group. Questions were then taken from the floor.
